National REIA respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its website. To protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our information practices and the choices you can make about the way your Information is collected and used.

What Information is Collected

Most data National REIA collects are used only to help us better serve our members. It is our general policy to collect and store only personal information that our members and visitors knowingly provide. If our privacy policies change, we will notify all users by e-mail or a special announcement placed on the Web site.
From General Users. National REIA does not collect any personal information from users browsing its Web site. Only aggregate data — such as the number of hits per page — are collected. Aggregate data are only used for internal and marketing purposes and do not provide any personally identifying information.
From National REIA’s Members, Conference Registrants, and Other Customers. To gain access to members-only resources on nationalreia.org, members and other users are asked to register and provide some limited information. This information is submitted voluntarily, via applications, surveys, or e-mail. National REIA asks users to provide their name, organization name, phone number, and e-mail. Similar information may be submitted to National REIA through membership applications, conference or seminar registration, publication orders, subscriptions, and service requests.
When you request information, order a product or service, register using one of our forms, or contact us offline, we may need your specific information in order to process your registration/request and reply to your needs promptly. This information is used to process your transactions, fulfill your requests, and maintain our membership records.

How Does National REIA Use Data Collected?

Generally, National REIA uses data collected to improve its own web content; to respond to visitors’ interests, needs and preferences; and to develop new products and services. More specifically, we use this information to:
  • Improve and customize the content and layout of our site and other communications tools.
  • Notify members of updates to nationalreia.com.
  • Notify members of relevant products and services.
  • Notify members of upcoming events and programs.
  • Notify members of legislative “Calls to Action”
  • Provide referrals to local associations.

Disclosures to Third Parties

National REIA does not share, sell or trade e-mail addresses under any circumstances. Occasionally, National REIA will send approved messages on behalf of our paying vendor members.
National REIA makes only member contact information indicated as “publishable” available to other users of its Web site and to those who register for its conferences. National REIA, however, may provide aggregate statistics about our members, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-parties, but these statistics will include no personal identifying information.
National REIA may share aggregated demographic information with our partners and sponsors. This information is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual National REIA member.
National REIA also partners with other businesses to provide specific member services. When members sign up for National REIA services provided by other business partners through the National REIA site, National REIA will share personally identifiable information that is necessary for the third party to provide such services. These business parties are required to use personally identifiable information exclusively for the purpose of providing their services.

Nationalreia.com links to other sites. National REIA is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites. We will not pass your information along to the linked site; however, we cannot protect the information you provide to that site.

E-mail Guidelines

National REIA does not send unsolicited e-mail to individuals with whom they do not have consent/permission or a pre-existing or current business relationship.
National REIA provides all e-mail recipients with a clear, easy and effective method to unsubscribe to any and all online communications.
